What foods should I avoid because of acid reflux?

When I first found out I had acid reflux I thought that the traditional medicines would help “fix” my condition. I was wrong. I also had to change what I ate and more importantly, what I didn’t eat. There are a few key foods that my wife told me to stay away from. Of course, I still had to test and see if she was right, especially when it comes to chicken riggies.

Here is the list she gave me to stay away from:

Tomato Sauce- (Hey I am Italian)

Soft Cheeses and cheese sauce-(I love cheese)

Peanut Butter- (not

much of a problem for me)

Chocolate- (WHAT!!! I cheat a little on this one)

Peppermint- (In the euphoria of eating out I sometimes forget)

Hot Dogs- (I am American Too)

Caffeinated Drinks (I was an addict)

Processed Lunch meats (?)

Greasy deep fried foods. (only in the presence of friends)

You may be like me and ask yourself the question I did. What’s left?

Come to find out there are plenty of things I can eat that are on my “good list”. They keep acid reflux low and are healthier choices. Don’t get me wrong I still eat a few things now and then I shouldn’t , but

I make sure I have my T-Drops with me at all times for when I am feeling weak.

After all they are the all natural remedy for acid reflux and stomach discomfort.

  1. Any T drops without licorice? #1 allergic to it, # 2 it raises blood pressure, even DGL licorice for me, #3 need relief from acid reflux without drugs and side effects. Thanks!

Hello Jean I will check on that for you since all our products may contain a little licorice root in them. I know it can be made without too.
Give a a little bit to check on that for you. Ok?
